Jawa Report has a long post on Revolution Muslim, the website credited with getting Comedy Central to censor South Park and influencing 1/3 of all domestic terrorism cases in the US. Yes, I led with the less important information because it's what you've probably heard of.

It may or may not be worth noting that the organization was run by converts whose spiritual leader was a convert, all according to Wikipedia. One of the converts used to be an Orthodox Jew. I doubt the extremists in the Middle East would consider him Muslim enough if he had attempted to join them. That's what happened to Omar Hammami who had converted from Christianity, and there's a rumour/thread in one of the OKC conspiracy theories that that's what happened to Nick Berg.
