Florida's Department of Environmental Protection has banned all use of the terms "climate change" and "global warming". Permanent sea-level rise is referred to as "nuisance flooding". The order appears to come from the office of Governor Rick Scott.

1. The order was apparently distributed by verbal means only for plausible deniability so that no one can cite a source.
2. Speaking of Great Minds Thinking Alike! At least Canute was trying to get his courtiers to understand that he was Not God (in the version I grew up on). Rick Scott seems to be convinced that if he calls the sea by another name his feet won't get wet. Whotta buffoon.
